This weekend I was able to attend my first fall event in Orlando and it was steaming hot. I wanted to wear a sweater and jeans but the weather was not allowing me to do that. Scroll down to see my day out in the town and how I stay cool but seasonable for fall.
My first stop before heading to the festival was grabbing a bite to eat. Although I enjoy festival food, it is often overpriced and there is nowhere to sit and get comfortable to eat your food. I decided to try out a new place called Toasted which is known for their grilled cheese. I wanted to try a burger and it was so yummy. The patty was very thick and the bread was very soft. I am likely to go back and suggest you visit them if you are in the Winter Park area.
I attended the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Autumn Festival this weekend and it is one of my favorites. I love seeing the different artworks including paintings, sculptures, and jewelry. Stores around the festival were also having sidewalk sales that were pretty cool to check out. I bought two pairs of earrings from the store Through The Looking Glass and they were each only $5!!
Now I couldn't go to a festival without getting a sweet treat. I got a vanilla ice cream popsicle dipped in milk chocolate and Oreos. It tasted so good and I hope their booth is at future festivals I attend.
Finally, a rundown of my outfit of the day. I decided to wear a yellow t-shirt to stand out with the art. I then paired the top with a navy corduroy skirt that tones the outfit down a bit. My accessories were pink dangle earrings and my tan Fossil watch. I paired the entire outfit with a brown bag and tan Chelsea boots. Even though it was super hot, the outfit was still comfortable and perfect for the occasion.
